The fourth meeting marked the centenary of Einstein’s equations, the International Year of Light and the Golden Jubilee of relativistic astrophysics.
Meeting Overview
The International Conference on Gravitation and Cosmology, the Fourth Galileo-Xu Guangqi Meeting, was held at the Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics China in Beijing from May 4 to 8, 2015.
The conference celebrated the 100th anniversary of Einstein’s equations, the International Year of Light 2015 and the Golden Jubilee of relativistic astrophysics. Its program connected theoretical gravitation and cosmology with observations and fundamental physics.
The program included a Marcel Grossmann Award ceremony honoring C. N. Yang and T. D. Lee and a public lecture by Remo Ruffini. Proceedings appeared in International Journal of Modern Physics A, volume 30, numbers 28–29 (2015), with guest editors Rong-gen Cai, Remo Ruffini and Yue-liang Wu.
