Meeting Overview

The Fifth Galileo-Xu Guangqi Meeting was held in Chengdu from June 25 to 30, 2017, at the School of Physical Science and Technology of Southwest Jiaotong University.

The event joined the 2017 annual meeting of the Division of Gravitation and Relativistic Astrophysics of the Chinese Physical Society. It continued the series’ exchange on observations of the Sun, stars and the Universe and on theoretical gravitation, cosmology and fundamental physics.

Remo Ruffini gave the public lecture “Black Holes, Gravitational Waves and Binary Driven Hypernovae” on June 26. The meeting materials include the organizing committees, scientific objectives and photographs; the proceedings entry was still to be determined.
