Wormholes and complete geodesics from anisotropic fluid | |||||

Abstract |
We study Born-Infeld gravity coupled to an anisotropic fluid which mimicks nonlinear theories of electrodynamics (NEDs) in a static, spherically symmetric background and asymptotically recover the Reissner-Nordstrom solution. Four branches of solutions are obtained, depending on the signs of two parameters on the gravity and matter sectors. We discuss the modifications on the innermost region and the existence of wormholes. The presence of a wormhole structure makes it possible to obtain complete null radial geodesics despite the generic presence of curvature divergences at the wormhole throat. |
