Abstract |
Particle creation due to classical background fields has very important applications in non-perturbative QED (Schwinger effect) and Cosmology (Inflation and Reheating). I will review the problems that arises by computing observables in a quantum field theory with an external electric or gravitational field and through a specific renormalization method derive the usual anomalies found in the literature and also give physical consequences of this particle production. |
