Title |
A Regular Black Hole In Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet Gravity | |||||

Abstract |
It has been claimed that singularities may be unphysical, created by the classical theories of gravity, and so may not exist in the universe. We demonstrate that the five-dimensional Boulware-Deser spacetime in Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravity is nonsingular. We show that the Kretschmann scalar is finite, positive and does not diverge at the origin implying that collapse terminates in the formation of a regular black hole. This is presented graphically. |
