Abstract |
One of the main targets of DECIGO is inflationary gravitational waves originating from quantum fluctuations in spacetime. At the same time, inflation is known to generate scalar perturbations originating from quantum fluctuations in a scalar field which is considered to drive inflation, and this scalar perturbations also generate gravitational waves at second order. Previous works have shown that gravitational waves are generated efficiently if the Universe experience matter-dominated era at the early stage, and a large enhancement of gravitational waves is possible in the frequency range of direct detection experiments. In my talk, I will discuss the detectability of this gravitational waves from inflation in DECIGO. We numerically solve the evolution of gravitational waves from second-order scalar perturbations and investigate the effect of the potential decays due to sound speed for the first time. |
