On the existence of dark matter | |||||

Abstract |
The hypothesis that dark matter particles exist is a fundamentally important pillar of modern cosmological astrophysics. The search for dark matter particles has been unsuccessful, and proving that dark matter particles exist or do not to exist would have very major implications for the standard model of particle physics and its extensions, and as well for gravitational physics. I will discuss the tests for the existence of dark matter particles using dynamical friction. The tests, based on different multi-galaxy systems, are negative. This is the most direct and stringent and conclusive test for the existence of dark matter in existence. |
