Kerr-Newman Black Hole in the Formalism of Isolated Horizons | |||||

Abstract |
We study the Kerr-Newman black hole in the formalism of isolated horizons using a general solution found by Krishnan in 2012 [1]. It establishes the existence of a null tetrad which is tangent to the horizon and parallelly propagated off the horizon along a non-twisting null geodesic congruence. However, the explicit construction of such a tetrad for the Kerr-Newman metric was not given. We have formulated appropriate initial data and found the exact form (up to integrals) of the solution everywhere in the Kerr-Newman space-time [2]. In the near future we aim to apply this formulation to the study of distorted black holes by perturbing the initial data found in this work. [1] B.
