Title |
High-energy emission of Galactic black-hole binaries | |||||

Abstract |
Galactic black hole binaries show several and complex spectral behaviours and transitions in the X/gamma-ray domain. I will review both on the observations performed in the last years with the INTEGRAL and Swift satellites and on the emission models used to explain the involved physical processes. Thanks to the current gamma-ray satellites, we have a new view on the high energy emission observed in a number of systems above 200 keV. The nature of this hard-tail is still debated. However, among a number of models, this emission is usually attributed to the presence of a small fraction of non-thermal electrons in a hot-Comptonising plasma, even though the jet nature of this component has not been ruled out. |
