Title |
Constraining The Neutron Star, Core-collapse Supernova And Neutron Star Merger Equation Of State | |||||
Coauthors | ||||||||
Abstract |
I will discuss several aspects of the equation of state of cold and hot stellar matter as we may find in neutron stars, core-collapse supernova or neutron star mergers. The implications of the presently known constraints that laboratory measurements, theoretical calculations and neutron star observations set on the EoS will be analyzed. The importance of using unified equations of state will be pointed out. Correlations of neutron star radii with several EoS properties will be examined. I will also refer the effect of including non-nucleonic degrees of freedom in dense matter, in particular, hyperonic degrees of freedom, and the introduction of light clusters in warm stellar matter, imposing constraints coming from the laboratory. |
