Abstract |
A new theory of quantum gravity is proposed by means of a novel quantization prescription, which turns the would-be ghosts into fakeons, i.e. fake degrees of freedom. The new prescription is based on the features of the Lee-Wick models, recently reformulated as nonanalytically Wick rotated Euclidean theories, and it is able to make renormalizability compatible with unitarity. Computation at one-loop are presented to show how the graviton/fakeon prescription works in the casse of vanishing cosmological constant. Finally, the case of nonvanishing cosmological constant is addressed by introducing auxiliary fields. The results are presented and compared with other theories, pointing out their physical difference. |
