Gravitational effects of consequence for fluid flows in GRB central engines |
Abstract _ |
Fluid flows around black holes probably generate some of the most energetic observable events, such as gamma ray bursts and supernovae. I will discuss two gravitational effects related to the production of GRBs that are relevant for long and short events. The first is linked to the role of angular momentum in accretion modes in collapsars, and the second to the production of accretion tori, tidal tails and winds following compact object mergers and collisions. |
