Session GRB2 at the
11th Marcel Grossmann Meeting
on General Relativity

GAMMA RAY BURSTS: THEORY AND OBSERVATION:

The Afterglow and Long GRBs

Chair: Arkhangelskaja Irene (Moscow, MEPhI)

Berlin - July 23 - 29, 2006

Session dates as currently scheduled: July 25, 2006

Scope:Since GRB afterglow and host galaxies observation and GRB redshift definition some new hypothesis of GRB origin are presented. One of them is GRB-SN connections, which confirmed by several latest results (for example, SN1998bw/GRB980425, SN2003dh/GRB030329, SN2006aj/GRB060218 and so on). Of course, other GRB sources are discussed too.The purpose of this session is the overview of latest observational rezults and discussion about it’s correspondence with theoretical predictions.
